Our client located Nashville is in need of a Controller . Their ideal candidate will possess a CPA license and is accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment. We are seeking a highly organized and proactive individual capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. This role requires effective communication and the ability to collaborate seamlessly with other team members to achieve shared goals and expand knowledge.
Controller Responsibilities :
- Complete all tax preparation tasks for clients before tax team review
- Prepare and review complex Federal and State income tax returns, including C Corporations, S Corporations, Partnerships and individual returns
- Assist in international tax planning and compliance, including handling waivers and tax returns
- Review and oversee quarterly tax projections and estimated tax payments
- Support the year-end shareholder bonus process
- Adhere to and maintain tax reporting policies and procedures
- Conduct quality control reviews of financial statements
- Prepare and review tax correspondence and oversee audits and tax notices
- Ensure the timely completion of tasks assigned to the tax department
- Sign off on 1099 reports prior to tax team review
- Assist in the review of business annual reports, franchise tax returns and other local and state filings
- Ensure financial statements meet qualifications for tax return purposes
- Review client invoicing for tax services provided
- Manage and delegate tax-related projects as assigned by leadership
- Assist with ad hoc projects as needed
