Director of US Finance - Consumer Goods

LaSalle Network has partnered with an established consumer goods client with a headquarters in Schaumburg, IL to identify a new Director of Finance for their US Finance team.

The Director of US Business Unit Finance will lead financial planning, analysis, and strategic decision support for our US consumer goods business, with particular emphasis on trade management and contract profitability optimization. This role combines deep financial expertise with commercial acumen to drive profitable growth and operational efficiency.

Compensation for this role is between the range of $220,000-$228,000 all in and is in the office 3x a week hybrid.

Director of Finance Responsibilities :

• Partner with Business Unit leadership to develop and execute financial strategies that optimize trade spending, enhance customer profitability, and drive sustainable growth
• Lead the development of sophisticated pricing and trade promotion models to maximize return on trade investment
• Provide strategic recommendations to senior management on customer contract structures, pricing strategies, and trade terms
• Oversee the analysis and optimization of trade promotion effectiveness across all channels and customers
• Develop and maintain advanced analytics capabilities to assess promotional ROI, customer profitability, and contract performance
• Lead post-promotion analysis and insights generation to inform future trade investment decisions
• Design and implement trade fund management processes to ensure optimal allocation and utilization
• Direct the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes for trade spending and customer investments
• Lead margin analysis and optimization initiatives across product portfolios and customer segments
• Develop and maintain complex financial models to evaluate strategic opportunities and business cases
• Provide regular reporting and insights on business unit financial performance to executive leadership
• Build and mentor a high-performing team of financial analysts and managers
• Foster collaboration between finance, sales, marketing, and supply chain teams
• Drive continuous improvement in processes, tools, and capabilities
• Establish best practices for financial analysis and trade investment optimization
