They are seeking a skilled Interim Accounting Manager to oversee their accounting operations. The Interim Accounting Manager would report directly into the Controller.
As the Interim Accounting Manager , you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining our client's financial records, ensuring accuracy, compliance and efficiency in their accounting processes. You will lead a team of accounting professionals and collaborate closely with cross-functional departments to support strategic initiatives and achieve our organizational goals. This is anticipated to be a six-month engagement with the possibility of an extension.
Interim Accounting Manager Responsibilities :
- Delegate, review and approve work of two staff accountants and two senior accountants
- Develop and maintain financial reporting processes to provide timely and accurate financial information to management and stakeholders
- Monitor key financial metrics and provide insights to support decision-making
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and accounting standards
- Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors during audits and tax filings
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance, training and performance feedback
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement within the accounting team
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency through automation and technology solutions
- Implement best practices and standardized procedures to optimize financial operations
