Plant Controller

This is an exciting opportunity to be a key player in driving the financial health and strategic growth of the plant, reporting directly to the CEO and collaborating with senior leadership to steer financial performance.

Plant Controller Responsibilities :

Prepare and analyze accurate and timely financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statements), driving decision-making through insightful financial reporting

Oversee all financial operations within the plant, providing strategic insight and ensuring financial discipline across the business

Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans, budgets, and forecasts tailored to the plant's specific needs, working closely with operational leaders to align on financial goals and performance

Manage all aspects of daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll-ensuring smooth, accurate, and efficient processes

Establish and maintain strong internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory standards, and company policies. Lead the way in ensuring all financial activities align with best practices and audit requirements

Oversee tax compliance, including federal, state, and local taxes, optimizing tax strategies and ensuring the plant's operations meet all tax obligations

Coordinate with external auditors for successful and efficient audits, ensuring full transparency and compliance in all financial reporting

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of accounting professionals, fostering a collaborative environment while driving performance excellence across the plant's financial operations

Plant Controller Requirements :

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required

5 years of experience in a Controller or senior finance role in a manufacturing environment. CPA certification is highly preferred.

Strong knowledge of GAAP, manufacturing accounting processes, and tax regulations

Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and strong Excel skills

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills-you don't just report numbers, you provide actionable insights that drive improvement
