We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced RN Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist with a Registered Nurse (RN) background to enhance these clinical documentation practices, ensuring the highest levels of patient care and compliance with healthcare standards.
RN Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist Responsibilities :
- Conduct thorough chart reviews to ascertain and validate documentation, coding and billing practices
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure clinical information is accurately and comprehensively documented
- Provide education and training to staff on clinical documentation best practices, coding guidelines, and regulatory requirements
- Participate in the development and implementation of CDI strategies to improve documentation, quality scores, and reimbursement
- Monitor and analyze trends in clinical documentation; prepare and present reports to management and staff
- Serve as a liaison between clinical staff and coding professionals to resolve discrepancies in documentation and coding
