Make a Difference as a State-Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA)
About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated State-Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) to join our team at The Laurels of Athens. As an STNA, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our guests, working under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse.
Responsibilities
- Take and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
- Measure and record height and weight, intake, and output.
- Care for the guests' environment, ensuring a clean and comfortable space.
- Assist with bathing, grooming, and toileting, promoting dignity and respect for each guest.
- Help with eating and hydration, ensuring guests receive proper nutrition and fluids.
- Monitor guests' skin health, reporting any changes to a licensed nurse and providing skin care as needed.
- Meet guests' mental health and social service needs, fostering a sense of community and connection.
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Active STNA certification in Ohio, or acceptable exemption required.
