Career Opportunities
We are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing department and be responsible for the overall direction and evaluation of nursing care and services provided to our residents.
This role will require you to supervise nursing care provided by registered nurses, licensed vocational/practical nurses and STNA/CNAs, ensuring proper charting and documentation of care and of medications and treatments.
You will also participate in budget processes and maintain current knowledge of applicable managed care, Medicare and state Medicaid regulations, reimbursement systems and methodology.
Responsibilities
- Resident Rounds: Schedule and perform resident rounds to monitor and evaluate the quality and appropriateness of nursing care.
- Charting and Documentation: Ensure proper charting and documentation of care and of medications and treatments.
- Nursing Personnel: Recommend to the administrator the number and levels of nursing personnel to be employed.
- Budget Management: Participate in the budget process and maintains the nursing supply, equipment and nurse staffing budgets.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain current knowledge of applicable managed care, Medicare and state Medicaid regulations, reimbursement systems and methodology.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement program, making necessary improvement to processes based on quality assurance data.
