About the Role
The RN Unit Manager provides overall direction and coordination of nursing services for our skilled nursing facility. This includes planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care and health education programs for our guests. The successful candidate will have current state nursing licensure and management experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing.
Responsibilities
- Supervises nursing care provided by Registered Nurses (RN), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), and others.
- Reviews and implements all nursing procedures and systems.
- Assesses and evaluates systems that facilitate the delivery of quality guest care and staff performance.
- Uses a systematic approach in the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care.
- Contributes to guest assessments and the development and implementation of a plan of care.
- Evaluates guests' responses to nursing interventions.
Qualifications
- Current state nursing licensure required.
- Current CPR certification and additional certification in a nursing specialty desired.
- Management or supervisor experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing preferred.
