Job Description:
- As a seasoned Registered Nurse, you will assist the Director of Nursing in planning, coordinating, and managing the nursing department. This includes ensuring adequate strategies are in place to verify current licensure and credentials of nursing employees.
- Key responsibilities include monitoring and evaluating the quality and suitability of nursing care through guest rounds, maintaining proper charting and documentation of care and medications, and developing and implementing the written staffing plan and nursing schedule.
- You will participate in the budget process and maintain knowledge of applicable managed care, Medicare, and state Medicaid regulations. Additionally, you will assign responsibilities to associates based on their educational preparation, experience, knowledge, and ability.
About the Role:
The ideal candidate is a Registered nurse with management or supervisor experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing. A current CPR certification is also required.
