Registered Nurse - Gerontological Nursing

- Assess resident health and develop plan of care based on assessment
- Implement nursing care, including medication-related interventions
- Supervise LPNs, Certified Nursing Assistants, and other team members who care for residents
- Coordinate nursing care of residents on the unit, assigning staff capable of providing appropriate care
- Provide safe and accurate medication-related interventions to residents
- Notify physicians of changes in resident status, implementing new orders promptly
- Contribute to resident assessment (MDS/CAAs) and development of plan of care
Education and Experience:
- ADN or BSN degree
- Demonstrates knowledge of basic nursing practice with interest in gerontological nursing
- Prefer 2 years experience in long-term care setting
