Your Key Responsibilities
You will supervise the care provided by our team members and coordinate the nursing care of residents on your unit. Your tasks will include:
- Supervising LPNs, Certified Nursing Assistants, and other team members
- Coordinating nursing care to ensure staff can provide appropriate care
- Providing safe and accurate medication-related interventions
- Assessing resident health and notifying physicians of changes
- Developing plans of care based on assessment and implementing nursing care
- Selecting and instituting appropriate nursing interventions to stabilize residents' conditions
- Contributing to residents' assessments and developing plans of care
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An ADN or BSN degree
- Demonstrated knowledge of basic nursing practice with a focus on gerontological nursing
- A minimum of 2 years experience in a long-term care setting
Certifications and Licenses
Please note that:
- A current state license to practice as a registered nurse (RN) is required
- Current CPR certification is also required
- Additionally, certification in a nursing specialty is desirable
