Director of Nursing Opportunity
We are seeking a seasoned nursing leader to join our team as Director of Nursing (DON) at The Laurels of Mt. Vernon.
About the Role
The Director of Nursing will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the nursing department, ensuring high-quality care and services to residents.
- Schedule and perform resident rounds to monitor and evaluate the quality and appropriateness of nursing care.
- Ensure proper charting and documentation of care and of medications and treatments.
- Recommend staffing levels and maintain budgets for nursing personnel, supplies, and equipment.
- Maintain knowledge of managed care regulations, reimbursement systems, and quality assurance methodologies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A current RN license in the state of Ohio.
- Demonstrated experience as a Director of Nursing or in management/supervisory roles in long-term care, restorative, or geriatric nursing.
