Responsibilities
The Licensed Practical Nurse plans, coordinates, provides, and manages nursing care, services, and health education to residents. Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising the care provided by the LPNs, CNAs/STNAs, and other team members
- Providing safe and accurate medication-related interventions
- Assessing the health of residents and notifying the physician of changes in status
- Developing a plan of care based on assessment and implementing nursing care
- Selecting and instituting appropriate nursing interventions to stabilize a resident's condition
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- 1-3 years of experience in a long-term care setting
- Current LPN license
- CPR certification or acceptable exemption
