**Director of Nursing Opportunity**
The Laurels of Salisbury has an exceptional opportunity for a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing team.
As the Director of Nursing, DON, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and managing the nursing department. You will oversee the overall direction and evaluation of nursing care and services provided to residents.
You will supervise nursing care provided by registered nurses, licensed vocational/practical nurses and STNA/CNAs, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Scheduling and performing resident rounds to monitor and evaluate the quality and appropriateness of nursing care
- Ensuring proper charting and documentation of care and medications and treatments
- Recommending nursing personnel to be employed, participating in the budget process and maintaining budgets
- Maintaining current knowledge of applicable managed care, Medicare and state Medicaid regulations, reimbursement systems and methodology
- Participating in the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement program, making necessary improvements based on quality assurance data
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A RN license in the state
- Director of Nursing, management or supervisor experience in long-term care, restorative or geriatric nursing
- Additional certification in nursing specialty desired
