Ciena Healthcare seeks a skilled and compassionate Social Services Director to oversee the well-being of our residents.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work and one year of supervised experience working with individuals in a healthcare setting. A current Social Work license from the state of MI is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Supervise Social Workers, if applicable, and guide facility staff on matters related to residency advocacy, protection, and promotion of resident rights.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.
The Director of Social Services will use independent judgment and discretion on behalf of the organization in the performance of these duties. Responsibilities include:
- Interviews, hires, and trains Social Workers
- Plans, assigns, and directs work
- Prepares work assignment sheets
