Wound Care NurseAs the Wound Care Nurse, you willprovide primary skin care to guests, with an emphasis on treatmentand therapy of skin disorders. You will also assist in modifyingthe treatment regimen to meet the physical and psychosocial needsof the guest, in accordance with established medical practices andthe requirements of this state and the policies and goals of thisfacility.Confers with the Director of Nursing and / or other licensednursing personnel regarding dermatologic disorders of guests in thefacility.Identifies, manages and treats specific skin disorders,pressure ulcers, and primary and secondary lesions, and any skinissues directed to by Director of Nursing. Consults with the IDTconcerning assessment evaluations and assist in planning anddeveloping the skin Implements and maintains established policiesand procedures relative to skin care treatments and interpretsthese as required, to the physician and responsible party.Provides,within established protocols and under the supervision of thephysician, treatment for skin disorders as ordered by thephysician.Ensures that residents with decubitus ulcers, vascularulcers, and various other skin conditions receive appropriatetreatment and / or prophylactic treatment such as daily inspection,turning and activity, nourishment and incontinence care.Educationand / or Experience : At least two years experience working in woundcare preferred. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations : RegisteredNurse with required state Licensure.CPR certifiedor acceptableexemption required#IND123
