Job Description
A skilled nursing professional with experience in leading and educating staff is needed as a RN/LPN Shift Supervisor.
About the Role
The successful candidate will provide, plan, coordinate or manage nursing care and health education for residents in a long-term care setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise nursing care provided by Registered Nurses (RN), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA)
- Review and implement all nursing procedures and systems
- Assess and evaluate systems facilitating quality resident care and staff performance
- Use a systematic approach to provide individualized nursing care
- Contribute to resident assessments and develop plans of care
- Evaluate resident responses to nursing interventions
Requirements
- Current state license as an RN or LPN
- Current CPR certification; additional certifications in nursing specialty desired
- Management or supervisor experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing desired
