General Job Description: The Negotiations Assistant works with the attorneys and the litigation team to help our clients resolve their debts by assisting with negotiations on litigation accounts. Serves as liaison between the law firm, client vendors, attorneys, creditors, and opposing counsels.
Role in Mission: The primary person responsible for assisting the attorneys and working with the clients to help settle their debts.
General Job Description: The Negotiations Assistant works with the attorneys and the litigation team to help our clients resolve their debts by assisting with negotiations on litigation accounts. Serves as liaison between the law firm, client vendors, attorneys, creditors, and opposing counsels.
Role in Mission: The primary person responsible for assisting the attorneys and working with the clients to help settle their debts.
Key Specific Duties:
- Communicate with opposing parties to negotiate settlement terms and amounts for accounts.
- Communicate offers with clients, vendors, opposing parties.
- Communicate with clients and vendors to determine client's budget to settle an account.
- Keep case management system up to date with notes and progress.
- Coordinate with paralegals and attorneys while working on settling a case.
- Correspond with client vendors to ensure creditor payments are sent in a timely manner.
- Follow up with clients and vendors for payment of filing fees and legal costs.

- Ability to prioritize cases within workflow based on urgency or need
- Ability to communicate effectively with opposing parties.
- Ability to stay on top of tasks and cases to ensure efficient settlement
