Responsibilities:
- Organize and outline discovery materials for case preparation.
- Assist as a second chair during court appearances and take detailed notes.
- Meet with and interview witnesses to gather relevant case information.
- Conduct in-depth trial preparation, including document collection and review.
- Assist with gathering and managing documents and evidence for cases.
- Provide general support to attorneys throughout the trial process.
- Utilize Time Matters software for case management, scheduling, and tracking.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in criminal defense.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Experience with trial preparation and courtroom assistance.
- Proficiency in Time Matters software or similar case management systems.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
Preferred:
- Experience with criminal defense litigation.
- Familiarity with local court procedures and legal software.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Minimum Salary: $55,000 per year.
- Salary is negotiable based on years of experience and level of expertise.
- Additional compensation provided to cover health insurance costs.
