Personal Injury Case Manager

Job Summary:
The Law Office of Mahdi Abdur-Rahman, LLC is a growing multi-service law firm based in Atlanta and Macon, Georgia. We are seeking a Junior Case Manager who is energetic, detail oriented, and a team player. The candidate will communicate extensively with clients, medical providers, and insurance adjusters. Other duties may include but are not limited to:

· Monitor and manage client’s treatment plan to ensure client receives appropriate treatment consistent with injuries and supported by insurance policy limits

· Liaise weekly with Medical Billing and Records Coordinator for retrieval of Medical Bills and Records

· Track client/case details using the firm’s case management software and tracking and reporting tools

· Retrieve additional insurance information from client(s) (i.e. uninsured motorist coverage and excess/umbrella coverage)

· Prepare Settlement Demand Packets

· Negotiate with medical providers to get highest possible reduction to medical bills

· Meet weekly with Senior Case Manager(s) and Supervising Attorney to discuss pertinent client/case details and reporting metrics, and to recommend action on cases

· Conduct tri-weekly follow-up calls with clients

· Manage cases according to firm SOP, to include, checklists and MyCase Workflows

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have at least two (2) years of personal injury case management experience, preferably with a high-volume personal injury law firm. They will be proficient in determining and implementing the proper case plan from the onset of representation, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication, writing and organization skills are essential.

Candidate must also be able to work in a team environment, be punctual, and exercise patience and self-control while working under pressure. Taking initiative, paying attention to detail and delivering high quality work-product are imperative.

Bi-lingual proficiency is preferred but not required (i.e. Spanish, Arabic, French and Turkish).

Technical Skills:

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Outlook, One Drive, Excel, etc.)

Experience with personal injury case management software, specifically MyCase is preferred (candidate will be trained if no prior experience).

Proficient in use of Apple computers and other technology.

Education:

High School Diploma/ GED required.

College Graduate preferred, but not required. Completion of paralegal courses and/or programs are ideal.
