Job Title: Trial Attorney

Our practice areas include Divorce, Separation, Paternity, Custody, Guardianship, Child Support, DUI, and Criminal Defense. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Trial Attorney to join our team. Qualifications- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of trial experience in criminal defense and/or family law is preferred
- Licensing: Must be admitted to practice law in the State of California
- Skills:
- Demonstrated courtroom experience and the ability to handle trial proceedings effectively
- Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively while meeting deadlines
- Exceptional interpersonal and client communication skills
- Proficiency in using legal research databases and Microsoft Office Suite
- Trial Preparation and Litigation:
- Prepare and present cases in court, including drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents
- Develop trial strategies and manage case preparation from discovery through trial
- Conduct legal research and effectively argue motions in court
- Case Management:
- Manage a robust caseload, ensuring all case documents and evidence are organized and readily available
- Coordinate with paralegals, support staff, and clients to ensure effective case progression
- Client Interaction:
- Meet with clients to discuss case strategies, provide legal advice, and update them on case progress
- Represent clients in court and during settlement negotiations
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Firm’s attorneys and staff in a collaborative team environment to achieve successful outcomes for our clients
- Contribute to business development efforts by identifying and pursuing new case opportunities
- Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate records of billable hours and case-related expenses
- Participate in firm meetings and contribute to strategic discussions
- Salary: Competitive, based on experience
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, with occasional trial days as required
