We are seeking a Senior Litigation Attorney – Property Insurance Disputes with experience in insurance disputes preferably property insurance and to lead and manage a litigation team in the San Antonio / Austin Metro. The ideal candidate is someone who truly champions the rights of policyholders, bringing a deep passion for advocating on their behalf in complex insurance disputes and an unwavering commitment to navigating the intricacies of Texas insurance law. This role requires strong leadership, extensive jury trial experience, exceptional litigation skills, and the ability to manage a high-volume caseload while guiding a team to deliver exceptional results for policyholders.
At The Lawgical Firm, we specialize in property insurance claims, providing hands-on, start-to-finish representation to ensure our clients’ properties are restored to pre-loss condition. Each claim is assessed individually by our experienced attorney, who inspects the damage, reviews the policy, and works with a trusted network of experts to negotiate the best possible outcome. We prioritize direct communication, and guide clients through every step of the process.
Total Compensation Range: $150,000 and up to and above $210,000.00
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent policyholders in property insurance disputes, including residential and commercial claims.
- Ability to build and leverage strong relationships internally and externally, resulting in successful implementation of strategic priorities, operational improvements and corporate objectives
- Negotiate settlements while maintaining a trial-ready approach.
- Serve as a mentor and provide guidance to junior attorneys and legal staff.
- Stay up to date on evolving Texas insurance laws, regulations, and case law.
- Develop innovative legal strategies to maximize policyholder recoveries.
- Models’ ethical behavior and execute job responsibilities in accordance with our core values, ethics, and information protection policies
- Advanced skills in legal analysis, critical thinking, legal counseling, and problem solving; creativity in resolving unique and challenging business problems; good legal and business judgment
- Able to work autonomously and as part of a team (legal and project), to lead, follow, and collaborate
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Texas State Bar and in good standing.
- Admission to at least one U.S. District Court in Texas (Southern, Northern, Eastern, or Western Districts).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Insurance law, preferably property.
- Minimum of one jury trial where a favorable verdict was rendered in a first-party property insurance case.
