POSITION SUMMARY
The firm is hiring a patent attorney with 1-7 years of experience to support a growing IP practice. This position offers the opportunity for both remote and in-person work at your discretion (downtown Louisville, Colorado). This is a full-time position that will mostly support the patent prosecution partners but has the potential to serve the trademark partners. Additionally, the firm can offer litigation experience if the candidate expresses interest.
REQUIREMENTS
- Subject matter experience in all aspects of domestic and international patent prosecution with a preference for an EE or an associate who can confidently prosecute EE patent applications.
- While an EE is preferred, the ability to prosecute computing device applications is a requirement.
- Experience in trademark prosecution/counselling and litigation is welcome (for attorney roles) but not required.
- Patent Office Registration Number or qualified to sit for the Patent Bar Exam for both attorney and agent positions.
- Admitted to Colorado Bar or the ability to sit for the Colorado Bar Exam for attorney positions.
- Exceptional academic credentials and the ability to comprehend and become proficient in new technology areas.
- Provide excellent client service by maintaining a positive and professional attitude as well as positive and cooperative relationships with legal staff, peers and administrators.
- Experience and familiarity with the Patent Application Information retrieval System (PAIR), Electronic Filing System (EFS), and Electronic Patent Assignment System (EPAS).
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, MS Teams, Adobe, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
COMPENSATION
The salary range for this position is approximately $125,000 - $225,000 per year. A discretionary bonus may be available based on performance, and associates are also eligible to share client origination credit.
