The Lead Group, a rapidly growing online lead generation company with offices in Kansas City & Atlanta, is looking to expand its operations in the Kansas City office. We are looking for a detail-oriented & proactive Project Manager to join our development team. Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, this person will be responsible for managing development sprints, overseeing Jira & Confluence administration, handling IT reporting, and performing daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly IT tasks. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical knowledge and exceptional organizational skills to ensure the smooth functioning of IT processes and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of all major IT projects.
- Manage Agile sprints, ensuring effective planning, execution, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
- Track progress, mitigate risks, and ensure timely completion of projects.
Jira & Confluence Administration
- Administer and maintain Jira and Confluence cloud platforms.
- Customize workflows, fields, and dashboards as needed to meet team requirements.
- Ensure Jira tickets are created & updated as per agreed upon guidelines.
IT Reporting
- Generate & distribute various IT reports, including project progress, team performance, and sprint metrics.
- Develop and maintain IT metrics dashboards for internal and stakeholder reporting.
IT Operations
- Perform routine daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly IT operational tasks.
- Oversee the company’s laptop inventory.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes.
Team Coordination
- Facilitate cross-functional communication to ensure alignment and clarity across teams.
- Act as a point of contact between technical staff and non-technical stakeholders.
- Support the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.
General Duties
- Ensure training assets are kept up to date with every project rollout.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks, escalating issues when necessary.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the IT team.
Milestones
90 days
- Build a high-level understanding of TLG business.
- Be up to speed with the existing processes & reports.
- Independently run sprint meetings.
- Execute well documented monthly tasks.
6 months
- Independently handle all Jira & Confluence change requests.
- Own IT reporting (no oversight needed).
- Be able to execute all IT Ops responsibilities.
1 year
- Complete ownership of IT project management.
- Independently work with stakeholders on projects of any size.
- Deep understanding of all TLG products & capabilities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5 years of experience in IT project management.
- Experience in Jira & Confluence administration is required.
- Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Technical knowledge related to IT hardware, software, and infrastructure is a plus.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- CSM / PMP / PRINCE II certification is a plus.
