The Leadership Program (TLP) partners with schools and communities to empower young people through leadership development, mentorship, and social-emotional learning. Position Overview
We are actively seeking dynamic and engaging facilitators to support My Brother’s Keeper (MBK) programming in NYC schools. MBK is dedicated to improving outcomes for boys and young men of color by providing mentorship, leadership training, and opportunities for academic and personal growth. Facilitators will lead interactive sessions focused on identity, leadership, and community building, working closely with students, educators, and school partners to create impactful experiences.

Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate engaging, student-centered workshops focused on leadership development, social-emotional learning, and mentorship.
- Serve as a mentor and positive role model for students.
- Build meaningful relationships with students and school communities.
- Adapt facilitation style to meet diverse learning needs and classroom dynamics.
- Utilize TLP’s curriculum framework, incorporating experiential learning techniques.
- Collaborate with school staff to align programming with student needs.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and submit program documentation as required.
- Work on special projects and activities with students and community members.
- Be prepared to physically work in any of our school communities and sites across NYC
Preferred Background & Experience
- Background in leadership development, mentorship, youth advocacy, or social-emotional learning.
- Experience working with youth in urban public schools or community-based settings
- Strong facilitation and group management skills, with the ability to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Ability to adapt curriculum to meet the needs of different student populations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience with Social Emotional Learning, Anti-Racist Education, and Restorative Justice is a plus.
- Multilingual candidates proficient in Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Creole, or Bengali are highly encouraged to apply.

Compensation
This is a part-time position during the 24-25 school year.
After-school rates start at $130 for 3-hour in-person placements/residencies. Pay is bi-weekly.
