What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Analyst position at The Leading Hotels?
As a data analyst, your primary responsibilities are becoming an expert advisor to our business on our data model and how to use it, monitoring, triaging, and fixing data issues to improve data quality. You will also support data quality initiatives, maintain data models, develop reports and dashboards, and participate in data governance discussions. You will help establish and maintain standard data practices and governance. You must communicate clearly and effectively with team members and stakeholders across different departments. You must be able to identify and explain the root causes of data issues, document triaging steps, explain how to fix problems, and support the Architect / Engineering and Business Analytics team by recommending solutions or ways to mitigate data issues. This role is crucial to ensure the organization has accurate, high-quality data to help drive business analytics and insights reporting, data-driven business decisions, and AI initiatives.
Skills and Abilities :
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to describe and report issues in non-technical language.
- Proficient in understanding and triaging complex software ecosystems.
- Ability to translate technical details into the language of our business.
- Ability to work collaboratively effectively with teams across the organization globally.
- Ability to independently manage tasks and deliver data-driven results.
- Ability to lead discussions that bridge technical concepts with business requirements.
- Proficient in documenting processes and writing requirements.
- Proficient knowledge of databases, SQL query language, Salesforce, and APIs.
- Proficient knowledge in manipulating data and updating data in databases.
