What are the responsibilities and job description for the Unit Coordinator position at The League for People with Disabilities?
The Unit Coordinator works in cooperation with the Participant Services Coordinator and is a member of the camp leadership team, working collaboratively to ensure quality camper care and programming. The Unit Coordinator supervises and works closely with an interdisciplinary team of leadership and cabin staff to support the various needs of the assigned campers within the unit.
Qualifications:
Minimum age of 21
Ability to lift participants up to 50 lbs. in accordance with established safe lifting procedures.
Current certifications in Medication Administration, CPR, and First Aid.
If driving: Valid driver’s license with no more than 3 points.
Education and/or experience:
Past camp or recreational experience preferred.
Past experience working with people with disabilities required.
Past leadership experience preferred.
High School diploma or equivalent.
