What are the responsibilities and job description for the Occupational Therapist position at The League School?
Seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist (OTR) to provide occupational therapy to special needs students ages 5- 21 at the League School. OTR will evaluate and provide therapy services to children with intellectual and developmental disabilities; keep up-to-date records, conduct assessments as needed and participate in team meetings and parent training.

- OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Administer services as per IEP mandates;
- Maintain proper documentation of evaluation,
- Treatment sessions and progress of children;
- Screen and evaluate children to determine the need for services & make appropriate recommendations;
- Prepare and update IEP’s.
- Delegate and monitor responsibilities assigned to COTA’s.
- OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST REQUIREMENTS :
- Minimum of B.S. degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college or university.
- NYS Licensed to practice
- Two years clinical / Occupational Therapist experience preferred. Experience with developmental disabilities desired.
Position is Monday through Friday, 8 : 30 am to 3 : 30 pm.
