Position Overview

The Student Services Coordinator position is responsible for the smooth and efficient processing of student assessments, scheduling of courses for students, and student transcripts. The Student Services Coordinator works with the Office Manager to assure each student’s record is accurate and complete. In this position, you will demonstrate leadership, initiative, and cooperation with colleagues and supervisors in order to accomplish the mission of this school.

Position Responsibilities and Objectives

· Supervise students, including upon arrival, breaks, departure, class changes and all transitional periods

· Coordinate and schedule all student assessments; Work with Director to create an annual assessment calendar

· Work with Director to create annual bell schedules

· Create and maintain student course schedules

· Ensure graduation requirements are met when scheduling courses for students

· Counsel students on graduation/GED plans and post-graduation options for success

· Maintain and update student transcripts

· Fill in as a substitute teacher when requested by the Director on an as-needed basis

· Support teachers by providing needed support services to students so that they make at least one year’s academic growth each school year

· Promote parent involvement in the school

· Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the growth and development of students and provide ways to enhance social and academic behaviors

  • Maintain confidentiality within all facets of the position
  • Have and demonstrate the inherent belief that all students can achieve academic success regardless of their circumstances
  • Believe in the notion of growth mindset and apply that to students and self on a daily basis
  • Work relentlessly to meet high expectations for students and self by consistently working to improve as a professional and colleague
  • Build close connections with students, families, and community and fully participate in all aspects of school life
  • Actively participate in professional development activities on and off campus to foster professional growth

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s Degree in a field of teaching required

· Florida Educator Certification in any field is required

· Skill and knowledge of office operations including automated data bases, spreadsheets, and word processing

· Physically, mentally, and emotionally capable of performing required tasks and duties essential to the position

· Demonstrated knowledge, ability and commitment to students’ educational progress

Salary & Benefits

Salary amounts are set annually by the Board of Directors. This position is eligible for a full benefits package plus paid vacation time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $47,500.00 per year
