Content Area Teacher
Performance Expectations
Position: Content Area Teacher
Duties:
Provide collaborative instruction for each student assigned during the academic year as described by the student IEP.
Provide the management of each student instructional program to ensure the appropriate implementation of the IEP.
Complete student assessments on a quarterly basis.
Participate in team meetings, both with TLC team and with outside agencies.
Qualifications:
Content Area Teacher is required to hold and maintain standard academic CT Board of Education certification consistent with specific content and grade level certification required by the IEP.
Required to obtain a Public Service License.
Responsibilities:
1.Be accountable to the collaborating Special Education Teacher.
2.Follow all policies and procedures of TLC, Inc.
3.Follow all expectations for those providing instruction to students as described by the TLC Teacher Handbook.
4.Maintain high moral and ethical behavior at all times.
5.Demonstrate the ability to develop appropriate skills necessary to the performance of the position as defined by the Teacher Evaluation Procedure and Process, best practice standards, according to SDE and NEASC guidelines.
6.Maintain effective behavior management procedure.
7.Meet with mentoring consulting Special Education Teacher
8.Participate in workshops and Staff Development Program
9.Committee participation, i.e. NEASC, Curriculum Development
10.Data gathering, input and analysis
11.Meet TLC standards for professional development
Schedule:
Content Area Teacher works a school year of 210 days following a weekly schedule Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM.
Salary:
Salary and other compensation shall be based on qualification, experience and contribution to overall TLC program.
Salary : $45,000 - $70,000
