Day to Day Responsibilities: •Providing formal and informal evaluation of speech/language skills of K-8 students. Writing detailed reports, reviewing results and providing recommendations to families and multidisciplinary team. •Developing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEP) addressing specific goals and objectives with measurable outcomes. Monitoring student progress through collection of data. Scheduling students in support of educational plan requirements. •Maintaining written documentation of all evaluations, IEP goals, progress notes, and communication in a compliant and timely manner. •Selecting and utilizing therapeutic materials effectively with individuals and small groups of students. •Providing consultation to general and/or special education team members regarding student needs and best practices. •Facilitating social skills groups with K-8 students. •Participating actively, cooperatively, and constructively as a member of the multidisciplinary team. •Working cooperatively and collaboratively with families, teachers, and professionals in related disciplines. •Assessing and maintaining adaptive and augmentative equipment to facilitate the functional communication needs of students. •Remaining current with appropriate instructional theory, practice, and research. Engaging in regular and strategic professional development to stay current in best practices for diverse learners. Minimum Qualifications: To be considered for this position, all candidates must be certified or in the process of certification in the state of Rhode Island and must be U.S. citizens or residents or have work visas. In addition, they must demonstrate: •Master’s degree in the area of Speech-Language Pathology is required •Experience with diverse populations preferred •At least (1) year of experience in a school setting preferred •RIDE certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist •Licensure as a registered Speech-Language Pathologist from the Rhode Island Department of Health •Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA ●Being a reliable, collaborative, and consistently strong colleague and teammate. Salary, Benefits and Other Details: Workday. This position is a full-time, direct service, based at the Learning Community Charter School in Central Falls, Rhode Island. All instructional team members are expected to work 7:45-3:15 pm with planning time daily and lunch/break time every day. Salary. For this role, our budgeted compensation range is $45,145-$89,259, with $45,145 representing the junior-most step in our scale and $89,259 representing the senior-most step in our scale. Bonus. $2,500 after 3 months employment, $2,500 after 6 months employment Vacation and Benefits.
