What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child Care Morning Opener position at The Learning Experience #229?

We are seeking a strong individual to join the management team and help with opening the center on a daily basis. We strive to provide the very best care and service for our families and are looking for someone who will be a great fit for the center. This part-time position may be the perfect fit for you with a 6 : 15 - 11 : 00 AM schedule, Monday - Friday.

General responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to :

Walk the center and complete “Opener Checklist”
Answer the telephone to speak with families & staff
Welcome children, parents, and staff with warm & friendly attitude
Communicate any questions / needs from families and staff to management
Help prepare daily bleach water bottles for classrooms
Help in classroom until teachers arrive
Ensure safety and health of children
Understand and adhere to current state and local regulations

Skills & Abilities :

Be of sufficient physical, mental and emotional health to perform job duties satisfactorily

Must be able to lift a minimum of 25lbs.

Able to relate well to parents, children, and other staff members

Possess skills, attributes and characteristics conducive to and suitable for working with children

Provide consistent, positive, caring environment to children in your care

Is flexible to the daily business demands of the center including scheduled working hours and room assignments, i.e. working in a classroom if necessary

Must speak English well enough to communicate with children, staff, management, and parents

Qualifications / Experience :

Must be at least 21 years of age

High School Diploma or equivalent

Mentally and physically fit to perform the duties outlined in this job description

Previous experience in a licensed childcare center / school and facility’s kitchen is preferred
