Job Summary :

The Assistant Director will work closely with the Center Director to oversee the daily functions of the daycare, ensuring compliance with licensing regulations, maintaining high-quality educational standards, and supporting staff, children, and families. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a passion for early childhood education.

  • Responsibilities :

  • Assist the Director in the overall operation of the childcare center, ensuring compliance with state regulations and company policies.
  • Supervise and support teachers and staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
  • Foster a positive and engaging learning environment for children.
  • Manage enrollment, parent inquiries, and maintain effective communication with families.
  • Ensure that all classrooms are operating effectively and that lesson plans align with curriculum standards.
  • Assist with scheduling, payroll, and administrative duties as assigned by the Director.
  • Address concerns from parents, staff, and regulatory agencies professionally and effectively.
  • Support a safe, clean, and organized learning environment.
  • Step in as a substitute teacher when needed.
  • Qualifications :

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a childcare or preschool setting, with at least 1 year in a leadership or administrative role.
  • Knowledge of state licensing regulations and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Must pass a background check and meet all state childcare licensing requirements.

  • 2 years of professional teaching experience (required) or 4 year of related experience (required).
  • Education :

  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a related field (preferred).
  • High school diploma / GED with ECE certification (required).

  • Genuine passion for the education and care of young children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
