Job Responsibilities :
As a Cook, you will :
Prepare and Serve Meals : Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals and snacks in alignment with dietary requirements and guidelines.
Maintain and track food allergies for each child in our center, ensuring their safety, and communicate any identified allergies to teachers daily with every food delivery.
Follow proper food safety, handling, and sanitation procedures to ensure food is stored properly.
Collaborate with the Center Leadership team to purchase all necessary food and supplies and keep inventory records as local and state agencies require.
Clean and Sanitize : Maintain a clean and organized kitchen; wash dishes and ensure proper food handling and storage.
Facility Cleaning : Assist with cleaning common areas, classrooms, and other parts of the facility as needed to uphold cleanliness standards.
Teacher Support : Be flexible and adaptable to the daily business needs of a childcare center. Which will require being a floater and giving breaks to teachers in the classroom.
Adhere to Regulations : Follow all health, safety, and licensing standards for food service and facility operations.
Qualifications :
Experience :
Prior experience in food preparation or kitchen support (preferred).
Familiarity with cleaning and sanitization best practices.
Day care teacher experience (preferred)
Education :
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
Skills :
Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
Other Requirements :
The ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
Must be able to pass a background check.
