What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infant Teacher position at The Learning Experience II?
Duties:
- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for preschool students
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Use effective classroom management techniques to promote positive behavior and engagement
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to parents/guardians
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive learning experience
- Incorporate various subjects into lessons, including math, science, language arts, and physical education
- Foster social-emotional development and promote child welfare
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate students with special needs or individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and upcoming events
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged students is preferred
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom and engage students in learning activities
- Patience, creativity, and flexibility in working with young children
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- High school diploma or equivalent (some positions may require an associate's or bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field)
