- Educational Background : High School Diploma / GED required; Early Childhood Education (ECE) coursework preferred.
- Experience : Preferably have experience in childcare or a clear passion for early childhood education.
- State Compliance : Must meet state-specific guidelines, including health and training requirements.
- Caregiving Skills :
- Ensure children’s safety and meet their daily needs, including diapering, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Promote good social skills through effective communication and conflict resolution.
- Keep children engaged with developmentally appropriate activities and maintain high levels of patience and professionalism.
- Physical Resilience : Must demonstrate the ability to :
- Stand and walk for long periods comfortably.
- Safely lift and carry items up to 40 pounds.
- Reach and stretch with arms as required.
- Climb or balance when necessary.
- Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed.
- Use a stool or ladder appropriately for high areas.
- Supervise children effectively by sight and sound.
- Work outdoors in various temperatures, from 20F with wind chill to 95F.
- Maintain mental and physical alertness to fulfill essential job functions.
