Our PreK Counts Classroom is looking for a full-time Preschool Aide in Portage, PA. When there is no school, employment will be at our child care centers and summer camps.

Classroom Assistance
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities.
- Support the lead teacher in creating a positive and engaging classroom environment.
- Provide one-on-one assistance to students who require additional support or accommodations.
- Foster the social, emotional, and cognitive development of students through interactions and activities.
- Lead small group activities under the guidance of the lead teacher.
- Provide targeted instruction and support to small groups of students based on their individual needs.
- Assist in managing student behavior and promoting positive social interactions.
- Implement behavior management strategies in collaboration with the lead teacher.
- Assist in preparing and organizing learning materials, resources, and supplies for classroom activities.
- Set up learning centers and learning stations to support student engagement and exploration.
- Assist in conducting informal assessments and observations of students" progress and development.
- Document student progress and communicate findings to the lead teacher as needed.
- Communicate with parents or caregivers regarding students" progress, activities, and any concerns.
- Provide information and resources to parents to support their involvement in their child"s education.
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of students at all times.
- Follow health and safety protocols and procedures established by the program and the school.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in early childhood education is preferred.
- At least 2500 or more hours of experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting (must be able to provide proof of hours).
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in working with young children.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with the lead teacher and other staff.
- CPR and First Aid certification (optional, but beneficial).
- Completed background check and clearances as required by the program or organization.
