Job Overview
We are seeking to create a substitute teacher list for our Lebanon County childcare and early learning centers. Candidates would be covering classrooms ages Infant through School Age. Candidates would be covering classrooms at our location in Annville, called Cura Bella. Candidates would also be covering classrooms at our location in Jonestown, called The Learning Mill, LLC.
As a Substitute Teacher, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of learning for students in the absence of their regular teacher. This position requires a passion for education, caring for children, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage diverse classroom environments effectively.
Responsibilities
- Deliver lesson plans provided by the regular teacher and ensure that students understand the material.
- Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Engage with students to encourage participation .
- Adapt instructional methods to meet the needs of various learners, including those with special needs such as autism.
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Supervise student and follow DHS and STARS requirements (trainings)
Requirements:
Minimum of HS Diploma or GED
Ability to pass 4 criminal clearances
2 written references
Physical and TB test
2500 hours of experience working with children (not your own or family) through teaching, babysitting, coaching, etc.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Per diem
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 30 per week
