Preschool Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their development through engaging activities and structured learning. This role requires a strong understanding of childhood development, effective behavior management strategies, and the ability to implement a curriculum that promotes physical education, math skills, and overall child welfare.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with preschool standards and promote holistic child development.
• Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and social interaction among children.
• Utilize effective behavior management techniques to maintain a safe and respectful classroom atmosphere.
• Conduct regular assessments of children's progress in various developmental areas including cognitive, social-emotional, and physical skills.
• Collaborate with parents and guardians to support children's learning at home and address any concerns regarding their welfare.
• Organize physical education activities that enhance motor skills and encourage healthy habits among preschoolers.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom space conducive to learning.

Experience

• A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience working in a preschool or childcare setting is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of childhood development theories and practices is essential.
• Familiarity with curriculum development tailored for preschool-aged children is an advantage.
• Knowledge of CT ELDS and DOTS. Cycle Of Intentional teaching.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to create engaging lesson plans that incorporate math concepts into everyday activities.

Pay: $17.48 - $23.00 per hour
