What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preschool Lead Teacher position at The Learning Tree Preschools, Inc.?
We are seeking a Preschool Teacher (fully qualified/ 12 core units Certificate or BA) to join our wonderful organization! This individual will help plan and prep age appropriate activities for preschool aged children, and lead a facilitate circle times and story time with assistance from a classroom aide.
The Learning Tree Preschool is open & growing. All County, State, Licensing and CDC guidelines regarding health/safety are being strictly adhered to pertaining to Covid-19. Providing a safe, loving and comprehensive program is our highest priority. We are open 7:30am-5pm.
Children learn through a play-based curriculum mixed with academic learning. The staff environment and atmosphere is very positive, team-based and flexible. We not only teach children about kindness & respect, we practice it. We have a beautiful play yard with ocean views and breezes. The vibes here are very much family orientated and happy. It’s a great place to work!
Requirements:
Minimum 12 ECE units in core classes for a qualified Preschool Teacher
Doctors physical
Up to date immunizations and TB test
CPR and First Aide Certification
Finger Printing and background clearance check.
Certificate of completing Mandatory Child Abuse Training AB 1207
Experience working in a licensed preschool facility for a qualified Preschool Teacher
Negative Covid-19 test or disclose verbally of vaccination completion
Hours may vary, and compensation will depend on experience.

Responsibilities:
- Instruct preschool-aged children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth
- Facilitate group activities, crafts, projects, circle time and story time
- Create a fun and safe learning environment
- Develop schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with staff, parents and students
- Communicate with Director and parents on students' growth and progress
- Maintain the health and safety of all students
Qualifications:
- Early Childhood Education (12 units or at least 6 units) preferred
- Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields
- Passionate about working with children
- Ability to build rapport with children
- Positive and patient demeanor
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Team player
- Ability to multitask and be organized
Salary : $17 - $19
