What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2025 Golf Staff position at The Ledges Golf Club?
OVERVIEW
The Leges is hiring Golf Staff for the 2025 season. Our team plays a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring an enjoyable experience for all guests at our golf facility.
Must be willing to work evening and weekend shifts. Prefer full time availability (five days/40 hours per week) but will consider candidates who can work three days a week including weekends.
OPEN ROLES INCLUDE:
Cart Crew:
- Stage and clean carts for daily use by our guests.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures.
- Greet guests as they arrive, answer questions and provide assistance as needed.
- Ensure driving range is ready for guest use - cleaned/picked/etc.
Starter/Ranger:
- Perform daily check list including but not limited to: picking driving range, filling sand bottles, maintaining water coolers, and assisting Cart Crew with staging of carts.
- Ranger - Maintain pace of play by continual monitoring of the golf course. Provide regular updates to pro shop. Be sure all players are following club policies and procedures.
- Starter - Ensure play commences as scheduled, that players have checked in with pro shop and communicate status to pro shop throughout the day.
Pro Shop Staff:
- Daily Pro Shop operations include making and managing tee times for our guests in person and on the phone, managing the daily tee sheet, using the POS system to manage player checkin and retail sales.
- Must enjoy providing customer service and have an interest in the game of golf. Golf experience is not required.
- Will assist with pro shop/course opening and closing.
- Pro shop merchandising, inventory, ordering and receiving.
- Participate in tournament operations. Enforce golf course rules and regulations to ensure safety and enjoyment for all players.
- Assist with the coordination and execution of golf tournaments and events.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and securely.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and guest service skills
- No prior experience required for outside golf roles; training will be provided
- Prior retail or golf shop experience preferred for pro shop role
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
