Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and dedicated Banquet Cook to join our culinary team. Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Assist in menu planning for banquets and catering events, ensuring variety and seasonal ingredients are utilized.
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations.
- Manage food inventory, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste through efficient food management practices.
- Collaborate with kitchen leadership to ensure smooth operations during busy banquet services.
- Support the catering team by assisting with setup, service, and breakdown of banquet events as needed.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in culinary techniques and best practices.
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned after use.
Experience
- Proven experience as a cook in a banquet or catering setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and culinary techniques.
- Experience in menu planning and food management is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with restaurant management practices is a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team in a high-pressure environment.
