Essential Skills & Experience:
- A high school diploma, GED, or completion from a technical school.
- Expertise with computerized machining equipment, weight scales, comparators, microscopes, and various precision and hand tools.
- Competency with computer systems for data documentation and entry tasks.
- Strong mechanical understanding and advanced mathematics abilities.
- Capability to interpret documents, comprehend blueprints, and instruct colleagues.
Key Duties:
- Interpret sophisticated blueprints and directives to achieve precise machining and assembly results.
- Execute complex machining tasks using CNC and manual equipment with mastery of unique setups and G/M code programming to maintain tight specifications.
- Craft specialized jigs, fixtures, dies, and prototypes to exacting standards.
- Manage the programming, setup, and operation of CNC and manual tools including lathes, milling and honing machines, grinders, and EDMs.
- Collaborate with engineers to re-design parts or refine functional requirements, leading to the production of feasible mechanical components.
