Starting Salary Range : $50,000 - $60,000 / year
Job Summary :
The Inside Sales Representative is a crucial support role within our client's sales organization, designed to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Outside Sales team. This position is responsible for estimating, project management, and customer service-oriented tasks, ensuring accurate and timely execution of projects. The Inside Sales Representative acts as an extension of the Outside Sales team by managing the detailed, process-driven components of the sales cycle, allowing Outside Sales to focus on customer engagement and business growth.
Key Responsibilities :
- Estimating (40% of daily time and activity )
Review and analyze project documents from contractors.
Conduct material take-offs by counting quantities of items required for projects.Input data into internal files and manufacturer-specific software to generate pricing.Organize and format pricing within spreadsheets and prepare official quotes.Collaborate with customers to ensure all project specifications are met.Identify competitive pricing and margins for optimal project profitability.Project Management (60% of daily time and activity )Oversee project workflows from quote approval to product delivery.
Compile submittals detailing project specifications for customer approval.Place and track orders, ensuring product accuracy and adherence to project requirements.Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers regarding pricing, availability, and delivery timelines.Communicate proactively with customers regarding order statuses, ship dates, and any necessary changes.Manage internal documentation, including order forms and cost records for billing accuracy.Support accounting teams by providing precise billing information.Address and resolve warranty issues, defective products, or missing materials.Ensure clear, consistent communication between internal departments and external clients.Required Skills & Qualifications :
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in estimating and project coordination.Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet project deadlines.Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.Strong analytical skills to review, interpret, and execute project specifications.Effective verbal and written communication skills for customer and internal team interactions.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (most specifically Word and Excel), Bluebeam (PDF), estimating software, and CRM systems.Ability to collaborate with sales teams and manufacturers to ensure optimal project execution.Preferred Qualifications :
Experience in a sales support, estimating, or project management role.Knowledge of construction materials, manufacturing processes, or similar industries.Familiarity with working with multiple manufacturers and product lines.Why Join Our Client?
