The Lee Group is seeking skilled laborers for a valued client in Virginia Beach, VA! If you are mechanically inclined and have experience working with your hands in any industry - we encourage you to apply and start a career with our valued client!

Pay Rate : $17-$19 / hr, depending on shift

Shift Hours for the Skilled Laborer :

  • Afternoon Shift : 3 : 00 PM - 11 : 15 PM (Monday - Friday)
  • Night Shift : 11 : 00 PM - 7 : 15 AM (Monday - Friday)
  • Overtime : Frequently available, with third shift overtime typically on Fridays.
  • 40 hours a week always available

Job Overview : The Lee Group is seeking a dedicated and versatile skilled laborer for a valued client in Virginia Beach. This role requires flexibility and adaptability as you will be cross-trained to operate various machines and perform multiple tasks within the production environment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Operate different types of machinery, including extruder machines and molding machines.
  • Perform quality control (QC) checks to ensure product measurements meet required specifications.
  • Monitor and maintain the proper functioning of equipment that operates at high temperatures (up to 300 degrees).
  • Operate forklifts and advanced crimping machines.
  • Ensure that all products fit and are up to par with company standards.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel-toed footwear.

    • Qualifications :

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a hot environment.
  • Willingness to be cross-trained and work in various departments.
  • Strong mechanical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Forklift operation experience is a plus.

    • Physical Requirements :

  • Must be able to stand for long periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in a hot environment.
