Skilled Laborer

Pay Rate: $17-$19/hr, depending on shift

Shift Hours for the Skilled Laborer:

• Afternoon Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:15 PM (Monday - Friday)
• Night Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:15 AM (Monday - Friday)
• Overtime: Frequently available, with third shift overtime typically on Fridays.
• 40 hours a week always available
• Weekly pay

Job Overview: The Lee Group is seeking a dedicated and versatile skilled laborer for a valued client in Virginia Beach. This role requires flexibility and adaptability as you will be cross-trained to operate various machines and perform multiple tasks within the production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate different types of machinery, including extruder machines and molding machines.
• Perform quality control (QC) checks to ensure product measurements meet required specifications.
• Monitor and maintain the proper functioning of equipment that operates at high temperatures (up to 300 degrees).
• Operate forklifts and advanced crimping machines.
• Ensure that all products fit and are up to par with company standards.
• Adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel-toed footwear.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred.
• Ability to work in a hot environment.
• Willingness to be cross-trained and work in various departments.
• Strong mechanical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Forklift operation experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand for long periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working in a hot environment.
