Lower School Associate Teacher
To Begin August 2025
The Leffell School is a cutting-edge K–12 Jewish independent school serving more than 850 students on two campuses in Westchester County, NY, 30 minutes north of New York City. We are seeking a First Grade Associate Teacher who can begin in August 2025.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic Associate Teacher who will engage and inspire students, partner well with a head teacher, foster strong communication with parents and colleagues, and contribute to our mission of developing students to become responsible, honest, compassionate, and respectful citizens.
Responsibilities:
• Small group instruction in language arts, social studies, and math.
• Support students' learning in specific content areas and skill development.
• Work with students on content and skill areas.
• Collaborate well with the head teacher of the classroom.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Master’s degree is preferred.
• Experience with Singapore Math approach and Responsive Classroom is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits:
• Pay Rate: $45,000-$55,000
