We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Banquet Captain to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing banquet operations, ensuring that events run smoothly and meet our high standards of service. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate all aspects of banquet service, including setup, execution, and breakdown of events.
- Manage a team of servers and support staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent service delivery.
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and presentation that meets quality standards.
- Assist in budgeting for events, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently while maintaining quality service.
- Utilize POS system for order management and payment processing during events.
- Conduct pre-event meetings with staff to review details, assignments, and expectations for each banquet event.
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure a positive experience throughout the event.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas before, during, and after events.
Skills
- Proven experience in supervising staff within the food industry, particularly in casual dining or catering settings.
- Strong budgeting skills with the ability to manage costs effectively during events.
- Excellent shift management capabilities to ensure smooth operations during busy events.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with guests and team members alike.
- Experience in hotel, or restaurant management is a plus, providing a well-rounded understanding of hospitality operations.
