PURPOSE
The Executive Director is responsible for the efficient operations and overall management and direction of the day-to-day functions of their facility in accordance with property policies and procedures, current standards, guidelines, and regulations. They will hire, evaluate, coordinate, monitor performance, schedule, and supervise staff in accordance with company policy. The Executive Director is also responsible for achieving and maintaining budgeted occupancy; achieving and maintaining budgetary compliance; professionally representing the property and creating a supportive and enjoyable lifestyle for the residents.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Coordinate and oversee the daily care and activities of residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met
- Implement and monitor individual care plans as directed by the facility's policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Serve as a point of contact for residents and their families, addressing any concerns or issues in a professional and compassionate manner.
- Supervise and schedule direct care staff, including caregivers and support personnel.
- Provide guidance and training to staff, ensuring they adhere to policies and procedures related to resident care, safety, and professional conduct.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and assist in the recruitment and hiring of new staff as needed.
- Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the facility, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for residents and staff.
- Monitor and manage inventory of supplies, equipment, and medication to ensure availability and compliance with regulations.
- Address any maintenance or operational issues promptly and coordinate with appropriate external vendors if necessary.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date resident records, including documentation of care, medication administration, and incident reports.
- Assist in the coordination of resident admissions, transfers, and discharges in collaboration with the administrative team.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and licensing requirements, participating in audits and inspections as needed.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, families, and other relevant stakeholders to support the holistic care of residents.
- Collaborate with the caregiving team to support the overall functioning of the RCFE and participate in regular staff meetings and trainings.
- Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the facility, promoting a sense of community and respect among residents and staff.

REQUIREMENTS
- A valid California Residential Care Facility for the Elderly Certification
- Prefer five (5) years of experience supervising and managing employees
- Able to operate a personal computer and be proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Completion of two (2) years of college and at least three (3) years of experience providing residential care to the elderly, or equivalent education and experience as approved by the Department of Social Services.
- Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Test.
