Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Elderly Caregivers to provide high-quality care to residents in our two brand new luxury Assisted Senior Living, Board and Care homes in Thousand Oaks, CA . Family & Nurse owned and operated.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting residents with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being while promoting their independence and dignity.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for residents.
- Ensure that resident rights are respected and upheld at all times.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Administer first aid as needed and respond to emergencies in accordance with established protocols.
- Document care provided and any changes in client condition accurately in care plans.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients in long-term care settings.
- Support clients in participating in community activities and maintaining social connections.
Requirements
- Must be able to work 8-12 hour shifts (7A-7P or NOC shift 7P-7A)- Overtime included
- Must speak English. Must be able to read/write in English.
- Employee must be a citizen of USA or have a valid work visa.
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields is required.
- Knowledge of home community care practices and systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with resident rights and regulations governing assisted living environments.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with caregiving, including lifting or transferring clients when necessary, up to 40 pounds.
- Certification in First Aid/CPR is desirable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others live fulfilling lives.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
