You will report to the project foreman and work collaboratively with the team.
Job Description:
- Job Summary: Assist in various carpentry tasks, including framing, concrete forming, drywall finishing, installation of doors and windows, and finishing work.
- Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints and construction plans.
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials.
- Assemble and fasten materials using nails, screws, staples, and adhesives.
- Install structures such as windows, frames, floorings, and trim.
- Construct forms and pour concrete.
- Finish surfaces by sanding, staining, and painting.
- Assist in the preparation and cleanup of job sites.
- Operate hand and power tools safely.
Requirements:
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, and one to two years of experience in carpentry.
- Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans.
